Lear

Named and inspired by Edward Lear, the well-known British artist and illustrator specialized in drawings of birds from real live birds, writer and poet, who loved Corfu where he first came in 1848 and spent several years (1855 – 1863) “in Paradise” as he called it, drawing watercolors, oil and lithographs.

Our spacious, gorgeous first floor “Lear” suite creates immediate feelings of total pleasure. With large original windows that allow light to flood in, the “Lear” suite is absolutely irresistible. Soft elegant colours contrast with bold, beautiful fabrics to create an utterly luxurious whole. “Coco-Mat” beds, crisp linens, pillows to suit all tastes and the full complement of technology means that the “Lear” suite offers an unbeatable level of design, comfort and elegance to guests visiting Corfu. The suite has a small fridge, coffee machine and natural “Apivita” products in the bathroom. Delicious breakfasts served in one of the Liston cafés on your doorstep.

Faliraki, one of the oldest public bathing spots, is minutes away and is a fantastic place to swim or have a drink.

The “Lear” suite can also be taken in conjunction with the adjoining “Merchant” suite to create a self-contained 2 bedroom suite.

The distinctive old town of Corfu, featuring a well-preserved historical center, constitutes the perfect place for exploring the local history and the great architecture of Corfu all year round. Every visitor could experience the Corfu town lifestyle, wandering among the famous narrow streets, the so-called kadounia in the area called “Campiello” or the small souvenir shops and markets in the several squares. Can also enjoy relaxation and savour the Greek tastes at local restaurants and coffee shops or experience the Corfiot nightlife.
