From the seaside, you’ll marvel at the elegant Mon Repos Palace, the summer residence of Greece’s last king, Konstantin I, and the birthplace of Prince Philip. Next, we’ll reach the idyllic Mouse island and the precious-looking Greek Orthodox church, Vlacherna – both iconic landmarks of Corfu island. At the beautiful island of Vidos, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the untouched natural beauty of the area with a refreshing swim. As we sail along the picturesque east coast towards the north, our crew will regale you with short stories and novels of the Durrells, while we admire the beautiful Venetian Villa in Kontokali, where much of the Durrell series was filmed. We’ll even spot the idyllic Chapel of Saint Arsenius, the favored bathing spot of Larry and Nancy Durrell. Our journey culminates at the charming coastal village of Kalami, where you can enjoy an excellent lunch at the famous White House, where Lawrence Durrell lived with his wife Nancy in the 1930s.
