Acharavi, Corfu

Acharavi is considered the largest touristy destination on the island after the city of Corfu. It is the center of the northern section of Corfu island. Acharavi is built on flat land with dense vegetation, right in front of a vast sandy beach, of about 8 kilometers long.

Acharavi offers everything that a visitor would need on a destination. Along the seaside road, there are many taverns and coffee shops. In the settlement you will find a clinic, pharmacies, banks, super markets, bakery shops and quite a few shops. It is an ideal destination for quiet, family holidays.

In Acharavi you can visit the Folklore Museum. You can find it on the main road, with exhibits from the folk civilization of the island during the last 3 centuries.

From Acharavi you can visit many picturesque settlements such as the abandoned village Palia Peritheia but, also the mountainous villages Episkepsi, Nymfes, Klimatia and Agios Panteleimonas. In the west of Acharavi is located Roda , a tourist center, and in the east you will see the beaches Almyros and Agios Spyridonas . Do not forget to visit the lagoon of Antiniotis, one of the most important ecosystems of the island.
